JOB PROFILE: To qualify, develop and prioritise enquiries ensuring valuable sales opportunities are passed to the external sales team within a specified timeframe.
Pre-qualify and develop leads for the sales teams from marketing activities including online advertising, direct mail and exhibitions, within an agreed timeframe.Have the ability to communicate with a varied group of lead providers.
Use research tools where relevant, to increase knowledge / awareness of lead provider and project details (if available) before making contact
Update the in-house CRM system with information once the lead has been contacted / qualified
Work closely with the sales team to track / follow up the pre-qualified leads and to maintain current project status.Ability to manage and track lead generation / development and a sales pipeline through the CRM system.
To work in conjunction with the external and internal sales teams to provide an efficient, informed and courteous service to our customers / lead providers.To make and answer calls in a professional and pleasant manner.Support the Inbound Enquiry Team to action and process sample and marketing enquiries accurately when required.
Maintain focus on gold standards of safety at all times, constantly vigilant and pro-active in respect of recognising and reporting hazards, ensuring high levels of awareness, and taking a continuous improvement approach to the working environment and Safety behaviours in respect of self, colleagues and any other third parties/visitors
Continuously seek to add value, improve efficiency and reduce wastage by adopting lean principles wherever appropriate.
To carry out other tasks as deemed necessary and that are considered to be within the job holder's capability.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Ideally educated to degree level, the job holder will be proficient with the Microsoft Office packages and have experience of working with contact databases (CRM systems).The job holder will have at least 12 months internal / external sales experience / account management, and be experienced in calling at director level to qualify leads. The job holder will have exceptional customer service skills in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills and listening skills.They will be highly organised and self motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks and the ability to work efficiently and accurately with a clear focus on quality.
They will possess a professional phone manner with a consultative approach and tone of voice, as well as a positive can-do attitude that strives to continuously improve.The job holder is able to work as part of a wide and varied team within a busy environment. High level of awareness, and pro active-approach towards safety with a sound track record of achieving high standards of safety at all times for self, team members, all colleagues and third parties as appropriate.
