About the Technical Advisory Service (TAS)


While our technical advice is free to customers, our services add value to the business – we know building professionals choose companies that are knowledgeable and offer high levels of technical support.

Our technical advisors are professional people who come from wide-ranging backgrounds. We offer high quality advice on how our products are used in construction and there are also opportunities to sell our products. Working here, you could also be providing:

  • NBS specifications
  • An estimating service for our roofing products and Cedral range
  • A first point of contact for specifiers
  • Sales leads to the sales teams
  • Developing and maintaining our CAD and BIM portfolios.

About the Site Services department

The main responsibility for our small team of highly qualified building professionals is investigating and managing product complaints – which is an important and challenging role. Your work would also see you communicating with the company solicitors when required to seek legal advice that is relevant to the complaints.

Industrial Director UK Ireland and Africa

We are currently recruiting for the role of Industrial Director.The Industrial Director is responsible for all factories performance in the Regions in regards to safety, quality delivery and cost as well as factory inventories.

Key responsibilities:

Drive safety to world class standards being responsible for the regions safety. Ensure that group as well as divisional safety initiatives are deployed efficiently and initiate regional actions where needed. Ensure reporting and follow up are according to governance.Puts the customer first and ensure that the view and perception of the customer is brought into the plants.Ensure product quality is according to spec. and that external and internal quality levels are systematically drive towards world class.Manage the industrial platform in the region to optimise delivery and cost in terms of efficiency, capacity utilisation and delivery time.Have a strong continuous improvement approach and a proven track record within LEAN and/or 6 Sigma practices.Work closely with the relevant technical competence centres to improve process and product quality.Responsible for the operations budget in the region and for delivery of the financial objectives within.Carry out regularly reviews with the plants and report out on a monthly basis on performance.Ensure the organisation with operations is reviewed and talent management is in place as well as succession planning. Take necessary corrective actions if needed to ensure the right team is in place in relationship with HR and according to local regulations and company policies.Initiate and coordinate major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.). Create an environment that builds on teamwork and provides empowerment, support and feedback. Ability to work and communicate at levels in the organisation.

Technical and experience background:

Engineering background preferably with a management education on top (MBA or alike).Min 10 years of operation management experience including multi-site responsibility.Experience from working in a large multinational company in a matrix organization.LEAN and/or 6 sigma experience and a proven track record within CI.Experience with large investment programs preferred.Experience from living abroad preferred
