About our Business Systems Support department

Roles based in Bristol and at Wrotham in Kent

In this fast-paced department, we enable colleagues across Marley Eternit to access systems and hardware to help them perform their roles. We also:

  • Install, set up and support hardware and software.
  • Provide first and second line end user support to all Etex Group companies in the UK and Ireland, dealing with around 9000 calls per year
  • Provide virtual team support to Manasco – the Etex Group’s ICT company based in Belgium.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies such as mobile devices, cloud-based software solutions and telephony.

About our team

We have a team of eight, all with different skills. We support each other and there is mentoring from senior staff. Skill sets we look for at various levels from beginner to advanced include: Windows operating systems, Citrix, PC networks, helpdesk procedures and support, local and wide area networks, messaging solutions (Exchange/Notes), Windows server infrastructure, back office systems, good verbal and written communication skills, telephony and project management.

Roofing Product Communications Manager

Job Profile

The role is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating roofing products marketing communications across a number of multi product campaigns to generate valuable sales leads and support the company strategy to offer a complete roof system

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement the roofing products communication plan to align with the company’s strategic objectives and brand ambition.

Deliver effective and segmented marketing campaigns to increase awareness & reach to generate sales leads & goal conversion.

Develop new and creative communication strategies, incorporating customer journey mapping, analysing touch points with the organisation to maximise commercial opportunities

Develop incentive programmes and implement trackingand reporting to measure effectiveness

Implementation of a successful content marketing strategy to support a range of elements including digital, media and direct marketing.

Developing clear and compelling product value propositions for each decision making group.

Work closely with the Marketing team, Customer Services, Technical and External Sales to deliver effective internal and external communications

Management of agencies and the internal approval process to ensure timely delivery of projects, within budget.Ability to support and in some cases lead departmental, company or regional projects

Ensure communications are in line with the Company brand guidelines, values and ambition, with a focus on providing real value to our customers

Maintain focus on gold standards of safety at all times, constantly vigilant and pro-active in respect of recognising and reporting hazards, ensuring high levels of awareness, and taking a continuous improvement approach to the working environment and Safety behaviours in respect of self, colleagues and any other third parties/visitors

Always seek to add value, applying lean principles, wherever applicable

Any other duties that are considered to be within the capability of the job holder that may be required from time to time

Qualifications & skills

Relevant degree and / or CIM related discipline or the equivalent relevant experience

5 years relevant experience.Possess strong analytical capability and marketing knowledge in formulating effective product campaign strategies

Knowledge of database marketing strategies / segmentation and digital.An understanding of the importance of sales and customer relationships

Strong project management skills, analytical skill, excellent written and verbal communication


Team orientated.Self-motivated and results orientated.Ability to build relationships.

Conscientious and takes responsibility to deliver outstanding marketing communications.

EHSQ Co-ordinator

We are now recruiting for an EHSQ Co-Ordinator for our Keele Site to facilitate the provision of a safe working environment that is non-polluting and ensures that products meet specification.

Safety and environment

To take the leading role in the site to ensure that Safety is always treated as the number one priority and that the site operates in such a way as to minimise environmental impact. This includes:Effective communication and implementation of site rules.Following safe working practices and procedures including timely reporting of accidents and emergencies.Recognising hazards and risks and reporting them, developing safe systems of work from risk assessments and implement safety behavioural methods of work. Timely and accurate administration of Incident reporting process and safety relatedactions.


To have a leading role in product testing to ensure that any stock released conforms to the standards set out by the company.Have a key role in the inspection of in-process pieces and proactively seek to ensure good quality is achieved.Actively lead investigations into product failures to seek a reoccurrence by identifying the root cause.A leading role in the day to day running of ISO 9001 and the transition to the new version.

Carry out and maintain the effectivecommunication requirements of the business utilising all media formats.

Workplace Organization

To use established principles (5S) to ensure that the workplace is organised in the most effective manner. This will include:Determining where improvements can be made.Identifying resources required to standardise storage and location of work equipment, colour coding of equipment etc.Organisation of activity to constantly improve the work place.Standardisation of owned areas at world class levels.Ensure maintenance of standards

Qualifications, experience, skills and knowledge

Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not essential.An understanding of the management systems 9001, 14001 & 18001.A formal safety Qualification i.e. IOSH Managing Safely.Experience of environmental management including Waste
