About our Business Systems Support department

Roles based in Bristol and at Wrotham in Kent

In this fast-paced department, we enable colleagues across Marley Eternit to access systems and hardware to help them perform their roles. We also:

  • Install, set up and support hardware and software.
  • Provide first and second line end user support to all Etex Group companies in the UK and Ireland, dealing with around 9000 calls per year
  • Provide virtual team support to Manasco – the Etex Group’s ICT company based in Belgium.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies such as mobile devices, cloud-based software solutions and telephony.

About our team

We have a team of eight, all with different skills. We support each other and there is mentoring from senior staff. Skill sets we look for at various levels from beginner to advanced include: Windows operating systems, Citrix, PC networks, helpdesk procedures and support, local and wide area networks, messaging solutions (Exchange/Notes), Windows server infrastructure, back office systems, good verbal and written communication skills, telephony and project management.

Job Profile

Reporting into the Marketing Services Manager, we are now looking to appoint an EMT co-ordinator.

Key Responsibilities

To qualify & prioritise all incoming enquiries ensuring sales leads are passed to the external sales team within the specified timeframe.

To action and process sample and marketing enquiries by accurate and efficient data entry.

To answer inbound calls in a professional, prompt and pleasant manner and to provide the required advice / action to meet the customer enquiry.

To work in conjunction with the external and internal sales teams to provide an efficient, informed and courteous service to our customers.

Working closely with the Marketing department and external sales team to proactively seek additional sales opportunities.

Work and liaise with a range of departments including Marketing, Sales, Customer Services and the Samples Department.

Undertake a range of marketing administration tasks to support the Marketing campaign activities.

To carry out other tasks as deemed necessary, that are within the job holder's capability.

Nature and Scope

The Enquiry Management co-ordinator should possess the ability to work efficiently and accurately, to prioritise workload, to be self-motivated with a clear focus on quality.

Must possess excellent telephone skills, be able to communicate at all levels and have the ability to work as part of a team.Knowledge of Microsoft packages is required.

Area Sales Manager

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for optimising sales by promoting Marley Eternit products and services.This will be achieved through:

Managing an established base of key and development account customers

Prospecting new accounts, particularly specification sales development across all relevant construction sectors

The Area Sales Manager will assume responsibility for managing an established base of key and development account customers, promoting new accounts and particularly specification sales development across all relevant private, commercial and public construction sectors.This will be combined with the ability to research existing and new markets to identify business opportunities, and the potential for product and process innovation.

Sound business acumen, combined with a structured approach to planning and objective setting, with the ability to contribute towards the Company strategy.There will also be the requirement to keep abreast of developments and economic conditions in the construction market, and be able to react and plan accordingly.

Skills and Experience:

Be ambitious with a strong desire to succeed

Knowledge/background within business and/or the building/construction industry

Strong negotiating skills

Aptitude for learning

Have an analytical approach, with a strong analytical skill set

Be an excellent communicator at all levels, who is comfortable presenting to both small and large groups of people

Must live on patch

The Area Sales Manager will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent in a Business/Construction related field, and should also possess a good level of computer literacy and have strong organisational skills.

This role involves extensive travel within the sales area and some travel to UK sites as required; therefore a valid UK driving license is essential.The successful applicant must live on patch.
