Modern Cloak Verge

The Modern Cloak Verge System consists of simply installed composite concrete tile and verge units designed to eliminate the need for mortar bedding. They provide a mechanically fixed, durable and maintenance free finish to the roof verge. Suitable for use with Modern tiles only.

Authority
The Modern Cloak Verge System is manufactured to BS EN 490 'Concrete roofing tiles and fittings' with BSI Kitemark Licence.

Composition
Modern Cloak Verge units are made from concrete with an embedded PVC-u channel. The fixing nails are manufactured from durable aluminium and stainless steel, the spacer units from nylon.

Performance
The Modern Cloak Verge units can be installed with tiles laid at 345-305mm gauge (75-115mm lap) utilising special Modern Cloak Verge Half Tiles in alternate courses to maintain broken bond laying.

Compatibility
The Cloak Verge is fully compatible with the Dry Ridge System and Eaves Ventilation System and is used with the Marley Modern from the Interlocking Slate Range.

Description
* Suitable for both new and re-furbishment projects with duo and mono-pitched roofs either brickwork or bargeboard construction for rafter pitches up to 45°.
* Secret fixing method mechanically fixes all verge tiles to resist wind uplift as required by BS 5534 : Part 1.
* Unique edge detail on the verge units prevents water from discharging over the edge.
* Half tiles are used to provide design and setting out flexibility.
* Modern and Modern Mono Block End Ridges complete the weatherproof finish at the apex.
* 32 verge units per pallet.
* Available in nine colours.
