Rediscover fibre cement at Ecobuild with Marley Eternit

Fibre cement

Marley Eternit, leading provider of roofing and cladding solutions, is inviting Ecobuild visitors to call into its rediscovery centre at stand N966 where they can explore the sustainable and aesthetic potential of fibre cement slates and cladding.  Marley Eternit will also be unveiling its exciting new range of Solesia PV systems at the show.

Marley Eternit’s rediscovery themed stand will contain areas where Ecobuild visitors can realise the surprising and unexpected truths about fibre cement.  Visitors to the stand will be able to discover the sustainability qualities of the material both in its raw form and in the finished roofing and cladding products and see how they can be used to help achieve the highest environmental standards in buildings.

Sarah Hanlon, Marketing Manager at Marley Eternit, comments:  “Ever tightening environmental legislation means that the sustainability properties of fibre cement as a building material, together with its aesthetic versatility, are attracting considerable interest from specifiers of both public and private buildings alike and we are increasingly starting to see many building designs which use not only fibre cement roof slates but also fibre cement cladding systems.

“Fibre cement is a modern building material that can enable building designers to replicate a style that reflects the traditional building style of the local area or, if they wish, to make a break from the past with engaging colours and finishes.  This combined with the BRE Green Guide A+ rating that fibre cement cladding and UK produced fibre cement slates can achieve are both compelling reasons why fibre cement is a great choice of building material.”

Sarah continues: “We’re really looking forward to Ecobuild 2011 as it gives us the chance to give visitors to the show hands on experience of the sustainable benefits of fibre cement roofing and cladding products.   In addition we’re delighted to be unveiling our new range of Solesia building integrated PV systems, which gives specifiers a sustainable as well as aesthetically pleasing solution.”

Marley Eternit will be exhibiting at 2011’s Ecobuild - the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment.  Ecobuild will be held at ExCel London from Tuesday 01 March 2011 to Thursday 03 March 2011. Marley Eternit’s stand is located in the building products area and is numbered N966.
