It is also equally well known at the show for its low-maintenance and fire resistant fibre cement Weatherboard cladding which pioneered the New England look with self-builders and national housebuilders when it was launched in the UK six years ago.
But it is choosing the 2007 show (March 22-25 at the NEC) for the debut of yet more products that are now being made available to self-builders.
The additional products are Marley Eternit’s range of high-performance building boards, headed up by its flagship Tileboard.
Tileboard is a moisture-resistant fibre cement tile backing board that can be fixed using standard tools to a variety of timber or metal fixing systems in bathrooms, kitchens, basements and swimming pools. Its smooth surface and tapered edges allow for decoration in the same way as standard plasterboard.
The building boards range also includes Paintboard (an external substrate for paint), BluClad (a moisture-resistant render board) and Duripanel (a load bearing structural board). All feature Class O fire performance and are easy to work and decorate.
Also making its debut at the show is Marley Eternit’s Profile 3 roofing – a low-maintenance fibre cement “corrugated” sheeting that is suitable for a wide range of self-build purposes, from the roofs of homes and garages to sheds and stables.
Profile 3 was most recently used to bring a sympathetic treatment to the roof of a former storage barn that has been transformed into luxury holiday homes (pictured).
You will find Marley Eternit within the Independent Builders Merchants Suppliers Village, stand 2213, at the national Homebuilding & Renovating Show.
