Marley Eternit’s highly-glazed, granular-finished Textura panels have been used in a graduation of sandy colours to complement brickwork over elements of all of the six storeys at The Levels on Hills Road.
The development on a half-acre brownfield site that was originally used for shops, housing and warehousing, comprises 38 private and 16 affordable terraced apartments with integrated entertainment systems, 43 car parking spaces and 315m² of commercial units on the ground floor.
Highland Ltd architect Mark Liverman’s brief from freeholders Peterhouse College, Cambridge, was to provide luxury apartments and he met it by carefully selecting the design elements, including the Textura panels, along with meticulous attention to detail.
He said: “We have used Marley Eternit’s cladding panels before, for residential and commercial projects, and we specified them at The Levels for their design impact and durability. Being a cosmetic aspect of the project, they add external design impact.”
Textura combines vivid colour, texture and toughness in one fully compressed fibre cement cladding panel. With a highly glazed, granular finish available in any factory-approved RAL colour, it is impact resistant yet strong, light in weight and easy to use.
Its performance is second to none, complying with British and European Standards with regard to fire resistance and spread of flame.
Textura panels have an installed life expectancy of 50 years and can be used for a wide variety of high quality façade applications.
