For the first time, the new clay plain tiles brochure gives specifiers details on the lower minimum pitch levels now possible with Marley Eternit’s range of Acme single camber and Hawkins clay plain tiles. Results from rigorous testing in accordance with the new European draft standard prEN 15601 means that both ranges can now be used at a pitch of just 30 degrees, 5 degrees lower than previously recommended.
The brochure is designed to make specification an easier process by including technical data and design details for the entire range of Marley Eternit clay plain tiles including Acme single camber, Hawkins, Acme double camber and Ashdowne handcrafted tiles. The range now boasts 24 different colours, including the latest addition Vintage Brown which was launched earlier this year.
Diana Bullock, campaign manager at Marley Eternit, comments:
“Colour, affordability and minimum pitch are three of the key issues affecting clay tile choice according to our latest research among specifiers. The updates to the new brochure address all of these factors and demonstrate why our clay tiles are the perfect choice for any roofing project.
“Environmental considerations are also increasingly important and the new brochure gives details about the excellent environmental performance of Marley Eternit clay plain tiles which can achieve an ‘A+’ rating from the Building Research Establishment’s ‘Green Guide to Specification’.
“Marley Eternit is constantly looking to improve its range of clay plain tiles and ensure that house builders and specifiers are kept up to date with these developments. The new clay plain tiles brochure will give them all of the information they need in one place.”
