Over 74,500 of Marley Eternit’s Acme single camber clay plain tiles in Century were used on the redevelopment of the Langdon Hills Golf and Country Club.
The Acme single camber range is part of Marley Eternit’s extensive clay plain tiles range, which offers 24 colours with a variety of camber and texture options available. The Acme single camber Century tile used on this project allowed specifiers to create a contemporary roof design, whilst retaining the warmth and character of clay which blends in well with the existing roofscape.
The clay plain tiles were used as part of the complete refurbishment and redesign of the Langdon Hills club, which re-opened earlier in the year to provide customers with a more comfortable environment.
Diana Bullock, campaign manager at Marley Eternit, comments: “The Langdon Hills Golf and Country Club is situated in a beautiful location, so it was important that the design was sympathetic to its surroundings. The Acme Single Camber Century tile enabled the specifier to get exactly the appearance they wanted.
“Advances in our clay technology means we can offer the largest range of affordable clay plain tiles in the UK, which also has excellent environmental credentials. An A+ rating from the Building Research Establishment’s ‘Green Guide to Specification’ can be achieved when using Marley Eternit’s clay plain tiles, making them a real option for any roofing project.”
