As a major company in the construction industry we recognise the impact that our business has on the environment.

We also understand and share the concerns of our stakeholders about the need to reduce carbon emissions from construction activities. The Board of Marley Eternit has set out its objective to reduce the effect of carbon emissions due to its activities in a ‘Carbon Policy Commitment’, which confirms to our customers our aim to provide high quality cost effective products with the lowest carbon impact, making Marley Eternit the supplier of choice for low carbon roofing and cladding materials.

What is a carbon footprint?
Carbon footprint is a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide or CO2 emitted through the combustion of fossil fuels; in the case of our organisation, as part of our everyday operations and products.

A carbon footprint is often expressed as tonnes of carbon dioxide or tonnes of carbon emitted, usually on a yearly basis.
