Marley Eternit's aim is to help others including our customers and suppliers to put environmental best practice at the top of the agenda.
We do this by putting it at the top of our own agenda. We already have an outstanding track record of success in the field. Marley Eternit was the first in the roofing industry to have our LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) data verified and to be awarded Certified Environmental Profiles by BRE (Building Research Establishment); and to be awarded ISO 14001 - the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems - at all of our factories.
Marley Eternit clay plain tiles, fibre cement slates, concrete plain and interlocking tiles can achieve up to an A+ rating (the lowest environmental impact) in the Building Research Establishment's Green Guide to Specification.
Manufacturing processes are constantly reviewed to minimise their environmental impact and each year, we actively look for ways to improve our procedures and reduce our environmental impact even further.
Marley Eternit operate Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental management systems including; ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001. In order to achieve and retain ISO 14001 Marley Eternit have to minimise harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities and also to achieve continual improvement of our environmental performance furthermore, all of our UK factories operate quality management systems to BS EN ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001.
