Project name: Matter Nightclub 02 Dome
Product: Hydropanel
Sector: Leisure
Location: Greenwich
Design and Build: Collins Construction

Overview:
Hydropanel was selected to carry out remedial work on Matter nightclub in the O2 Dome in Greenwich.
Hydropanel was specified as a tile backing board in the toilets because the fibre cement used in its manufacture offers water and impact resistance – both essential requirements for this busy international venue.

Project name: Swimming Pool
Product: Hydropanel
Sector: Leisure
Location: Cheshire
Architect: Project 5 Architecture

Overview:
Hydropanel fibre cement boards from Marley Eternit have helped avoid the issues associated with tiling and painting of swimming pools, according to Project 5 Architects.
That’s because its moisture resistant properties enabled the clay tiles, chlorine-resistant paint and an intricate mosaic freeze to be applied directly to the fibre cement boards on its latest project. Hydropanel’s water resistant properties and exceptional strength also meant that the boards did not need water resistant treatment before applying the tiles or paint, which would have been required on gypsum based boards.

Economical and durable, timber battens are widely used for all applications from fascias and soffits to total cladding.

An economical method of application for Marley Eternit cladding panels is that of mounting on a timber framework using rainscreen construction principles.

Unless specific fire performance requirements or irregularities to the substrate are encountered (where other adjustable Marley Eternit Systems are employed), timber battens will provide an economical and speedy installation.

Timber protection
Timber battens can be protected against decay and insect attack in accordance with BS 5268:Part 5
