Our manufacturing sites at Glasgow and Burton have attached OHSAS 18001. OHSAS 18001 is the internationally recognized assessment specification for occupational health and safety management systems.
The following key areas are addressed by OHSAS 18001:
- Planning for hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
- OHSAS management programme
- Structure and responsibility
- Training, awareness and competence
- Consultation and communication
- Operational control
- Emergency preparedness and response
- Performance measuring, monitoring and improvement
We are hoping that our manufacturing sites at Widnes and Beenham will achieve this accreditation later this year.
We are members of the British Precast Concrete Federation, the British Ceramic Confederation and the Fibre Cement Manufacturers Association all of which require us to meet certain health and safety targets each year to ensure our membership
